More detail: the full write-up

A solid neighbourhood shop for buying a commuter or mid-capacity bike and keeping it on regular service rotation. Best for riders who want a familiar face for tyres, oil and small jobs, and who like dealing with the same salesman across multiple bikes. For deeper engine rebuilds or fussy caliper work, get a second opinion. Pin every verbal promise to paper at the deposit stage.

The lowdown. Motorcycle shop and workshop tucked into the HDB strip at Bukit Merah Lane 2. AA Motor sells new and used bikes and runs a service bay in the same unit. Day to day it is tyres, brakes, oil changes and general repair across commuter scooters, Class 2A bikes and the occasional big-bike adventure tourer. Closed Sundays, half day Saturday.

What riders say. Ask for Ah Loon. He is the salesman riders return to, and the after-sales handholding is a big part of why repeat buyers come back. The buying process is patient, options are walked through, and follow-up on small post-purchase issues is dependable. On the workshop side, Ah San gets named for tidy mechanical work, and tyre jobs come with proper bedding-in advice before you ride off. Pricing on tyres lands close to local market rate, which trades a bit of money for not having to cross the Causeway.

Friction sits in two places. Promised freebies and free services attached to a bike purchase have not always materialised months later, so get every item and date written into the invoice before you pay deposit. And the workshop is stronger on routine service than on deeper engine or brake-caliper diagnostic work. A couple of repairs leaked again or came back wrong.

The most trustworthy motorcycle repair and service shop. Boss is very friendly and price wise very transparent.
