More detail: the full write-up

Best for riders who want a no-nonsense neighbourhood mechanic in the north and don't mind a busy floor. Strong fit if you're a new rider who wants the issue explained plainly, or a long-time owner who values honest pricing on routine servicing. Big-bike owners chasing race-tuning should look elsewhere. If you're coming up from the west or central, plan around a free morning since the bays fill up.

The lowdown. Independent motorcycle workshop tucked into Polaris, an industrial block off Woodlands Ave 12. Uncle Ali runs the floor and handles everything from class 2B scoots up to bigger bikes. Standard servicing, chain and sprocket work, starter motor diagnosis, general repairs. Closed Sundays. Walk-ins are common but the bays fill up fast, especially around holidays.

What riders say. Two things hold the shop together: fair pricing and honest diagnosis. Ali tells you what your bike actually needs, not what extracts the most cash. New riders coming in nervous get a calm walk-through. One first-timer rolled up on New Year's Eve expecting to be turned away and was sorted inside an hour, even with a packed workshop.

Expect bays full of mixed bikes most weekdays. Work covers Honda CB400 servicing, sprocket and chain swaps, starter motor diagnosis, and the everyday maintenance any rider needs. Long-time customers come back for years and bring their friends along.

"very knowledgeable man, price is reasonable, will not recommend things unnecessarily"
