More detail: the full write-up
Strongest pick if you ride a BMW or want a clean coverset respray, custom paint or accessory fit-up done quickly. Routine servicing and front-fork work also land well. Brief the desk fully on intake and pin every line of the quotation in writing. Apex's pricing has shifted at collection on at least two paint-related jobs. Bring the bike on a weekday morning for the best chance of same-day turnaround on small work.
The lowdown. Multi-brand workshop in Carros Centre, Kranji, near the KJE. The shed handles routine servicing, suspension work, electrical fits and bodywork respray on everything from a CB400X to a BMW GSA. Cosmetic jobs are a real strength. Coverset swaps, custom paint, OBU brackets and aftermarket lights all get done in-house, often in a day.
What riders say. BMW is the workshop's clear specialism. Ah Di leads BMW work, including shaft service. Tommy handles BMW and Harley jobs. JieWei, Ah Chang, Kok Liang, Munir and Shengyang round out the mechanic floor, with Ah Chang doing most of the paint and accessory work. Front-desk service runs through Andrea and Eva, both fast on WhatsApp updates. Mr Meng is the boss.
The friction is pricing. A quote agreed at intake can creep up at collection without prior notice. One Vespa GTS respray went from $750 to $950 over a paint-grade upgrade. A tank-repair job was billed an extra $250 for paintwork the shop deemed unavoidable, communicated only after the work was done. The shop has issued a refund on that case.
