More detail: the full write-up

Best for riders who want bespoke metalwork done properly: OBU brackets, top-box mounts, custom racks, side-stand mods, broken hardware repairs. Big-bike, scooter, retro and adventure builds all welcome. Skip it if you need polished customer service or a fixed turnaround date. Bring the bike, bring the part, bring patience, and let Ah Ann tell you what is actually worth doing.

The lowdown. Custom motorcycle metal fabricator in Tampines Industrial Park A, off Tampines Street 93. The shop has no signboard, so look for unit #01-110. Ah Ann, also known as Kenny, runs it solo. He welds, bends and fabricates: OBU and IU brackets, top-box and pannier racks, side-stand extensions, mirror relocations, broken rack repairs, aluminium box restoration. Open weekdays only, closed Saturday and Sunday.

What riders say. The work is the draw. Brackets come out tight to the bike, racks feel solid, welds are clean. Harley, BMW, XSR900, Forza, XMax, Mutt builds have all passed through. Ah Ann advises before he quotes, often talking riders out of work that is not worth doing, and he will tell you on the spot if a part should be repaired or replaced.

He works alone, so timing depends entirely on his queue. Catch him quiet and a custom OBU bracket can be done in two hours. Catch him busy and a rack job runs a week or two. Pricing lands reasonable for the level of craft.

The other half of the visit is his manner. He is blunt, sometimes harsh, and not interested in soft-selling.

He can be very straightforward and harsh. So if you can't take it, sucks to be you.

Most regulars read it as honesty, not rudeness. A minority have walked out feeling dismissed.
