More detail: the full write-up
Best if you want a thorough, talkative mechanic who comes to your carpark and explains the why. Strong fit for big-bike owners (BMW GS, Tiger, KTM, CB400, NC750X) and for new riders buying their first used bike. Less suited if you need same-day workshop turnaround on a complex job that needs a hoist. Save his number before you actually need it.
The lowdown. Mobile motorcycle workshop run by Derek, working out of a Hillview Rise unit but mostly coming to you. WhatsApp him, agree a time, and he turns up at your HDB carpark or office with a van kitted out for servicing, diagnostics and parts swaps. Works on everything from Yamaha NMax scooters to BMW R1250GS, KTM 950 and Triumph Tiger 900.
What riders say. The pull is convenience plus depth. Derek collects the bike or works on it where it's parked, sends WhatsApp updates with photos as he goes, and explains the engineering reason behind each fix instead of just billing for parts. Common jobs include engine oil and filter, brake pad and fluid changes, chain clean and tension, fuel pump replacement, front fork tube swaps, carb cleaning, wiring tidy-ups and quickshifter removal. He also does pre-purchase inspections for used bikes, travelling across the island to vet a seller's machine before you commit.
The other consistent thread is honesty about what not to change. He'll flag a leaking head gasket or low oil while doing an unrelated job, but tell you when a part still has life in it.
Good to know."He treats my bike like his own, so small details aren't overlooked for time and convenience."
