More detail: the full write-up
Best for owners of class 2 bikes and scooters who want an honest mechanic with deep diagnostic chops and do not mind waiting. Not the place if you want hand-holding or quick over-the-counter service. Drop the bike off, write down exactly what you want checked, and let Ah Beng call you back with the findings.
The lowdown. Multi-brand workshop tucked inside First East Centre at Kaki Bukit, run by Ah Beng and a small crew. Day to day, the bays handle scooter servicing, big-bike maintenance, suspension work, valve clearance, electronic diagnostics, tyre changes and the occasional rim repair. Closest MRT is a hike, so most riders ride in or drop the bike off. Closed Sundays, half day Saturday.
What riders say. Ah Beng is the draw. Riders stay with him across multiple bikes and decades, from 2B days through class 2 ownership. Diagnostics is where he stands apart, especially electronic faults that other shops cannot pin down. Valve service, WP suspension rebuilds, fuel-tank derust and tyre work all come up repeatedly, alongside scooter servicing on machines like the NMax. Pricing holds to the original quote, with a call before any extra work is added.
The trade-off is wait time. The shop is consistently full, staff numbers are tight, and walk-ins without an appointment can sit. Ah Beng is blunt and runs the floor on his terms, which lands well with regulars and badly with anyone expecting deference.
Good to know."Once quote, the price will not change."
