More detail: the full write-up
Best for budget commuters hunting a cheap Sniper, NMax or similar small-capacity used bike, who know how to vet a second-hand machine. Not the place for a first-time buyer with no mechanical eye, and not for anyone expecting after-sales cover. Bring a riding friend who knows engines, test the bike before deposit, and pin every promised extra in writing before you pay.
The lowdown. Old-school used motorcycle dealer on Geylang Road, the shopfront still wearing its original Chu Seng Tan Kee Trading signage. Walk in for second-hand commuter bikes, mostly Yamaha Sniper V1 and NMax stock, with paperwork handled in-house. Weekday hours only, closed Saturday and Sunday. Geylang location means easy access from Aljunied MRT and the PIE.
What riders say. The deal flow is fast when it works. Buyers walk in, settle on a bike, and ride out the same day with the transfer done. The older boss runs the floor and is the main face you deal with. Small extras like a free helmet or canvas cover have come with Sniper V1 purchases. Ask for Lorencz if you want someone who walks through the bike properly before you sign.
Settle in one day. Kind customer service.
The friction is real and worth knowing. One R15 buyer reported a string of mechanical failures in the first fortnight: gear dropping out, a flat battery, loose footpegs, no warranty offered. Another rider felt pushed on a small repair. Inspect the bike cold, ride it before paying, and get any promised fixes or freebies written into the invoice.
Good to know.- Closed Saturday and Sunday, weekday visits only
- Same-day handover possible if loan and insurance are pre-arranged
- No warranty on used bikes, so a pre-purchase inspection is on you
- Cash and bank transfer are the working payment methods
- Geylang Road frontage, street parking outside is tight at lunch
