More detail: the full write-up

Best for commuter and mid-cc riders in the north who want a no-frills neighbourhood workshop for servicing, tyres and OBU work. The mechanics know their stuff and the location is convenient if you live or ride around Woodlands, Mandai or Sembawang. Confirm the price of every part and bottle of oil at the counter before they start, and you will avoid the one recurring sore point.

The lowdown. Motorcycle workshop in Sungei Kadut, tucked inside M-Space at 6D Mandai Estate on the second floor. Long-running general repair shop with regulars who have been coming for 20 to 30 years. Day to day work is engine oil servicing, tyre changes, chain and sprocket sets, OBU installation and general troubleshooting. Open every day, including Sundays until 3pm.

What riders say. The mechanics are the reason people come back. Tommy gets named often for OBU swaps and general advice, and the floor crew handles routine servicing without upselling unnecessary work. Walk in with a flat tyre on a Sunday and a worm patch is done in ten minutes. Bring a bike for an oil change and you may leave with a sensible recommendation on chain or filter timing, not a padded bill.

The friction is at the counter. The aunty who handles cashiering has drawn repeated complaints about manner and pricing, including one CBF190X owner pushed to buy a second bottle of oil his manual did not require. Parts pricing is not always transparent, and at least one rider reported a second-hand part billed at new-part rate.

Won't try to hardsell anything I don't need and genuinely provide advice on-site.
