More detail: the full write-up

Best for buyers shopping a Class 2B Yamaha or Honda commuter, and for owners of those bikes who want to service in the same place they bought from. Workshop-side reputation for routine jobs is solid, and Mr Yang is the reason to come back for it. The friction is on the sales paperwork. Get loan interest, processing fee, and any promised freebies listed line by line on the quotation, then read it again before signing the deposit.

The lowdown. Motorcycle dealer and workshop on Defu Lane 10, in the Hougang industrial belt. Sells new and used bikes (Yamaha and Honda commuters mostly, the occasional Suzuki big bike), with an in-house mechanic for servicing what gets sold. Open till 8pm weekdays, slightly shorter on Saturdays, closed Sundays.

What riders say. Two sides to the shop: a sales floor up front and a workshop in back. Ask for Javier on the sales side. He handles new MT-15s and Hayabusas as well as used buys, with the patience first-time buyers want and no hard sell. In the workshop, ask for Mr Yang. He runs oil changes, brake pads, chain cleaning, the routine stuff, and will walk you through what he is doing while he does it.

Routine service pricing is upfront and the work is honest. Where it gets sticky is finance. Loan interest and processing fees can land higher at signing than what was quoted verbally, sometimes with a $500 processing fee tacked on alongside dealer-arranged insurance. Pin every figure to the printed quotation before you put down a deposit.
