More detail: the full write-up

Best if you want a straightforward neighbourhood workshop in the west. Routine servicing, tyres, clutch jobs, gasket fixes, the occasional bigger repair without a sales pitch. Less suited if you ride something niche or want dyno tunes and dealer-grade diagnostics. If you commute through Jurong or live around Pioneer and Boon Lay, it's a sensible default for everyday work. Drop the bike off after work; they're open till 9pm.

The lowdown. Neighbourhood motorcycle workshop in Pioneer Centre off Soon Lee Street, Jurong West. Boss is Encik Hamid. The crew handles routine servicing (engine oil, spark plugs, tyres) and mid-range jobs (clutch overhauls, gasket replacements, valve clearance checks). Open late, Monday to Saturday until 9pm, with seating while you wait.

What riders say. Fair pricing, no upselling, fast turnaround on simple jobs. Bikes come in for oil and filter changes, spark plug swaps, tyre repairs, clutch work and gasket fixes. A tyre and oil change can be in and out in twenty minutes when the floor is free. Hamid and the mechanics flag secondary problems during a service rather than quietly bill for them. A walk-in once arrived with a gasket leak from another shop, got it sorted, then needed a follow-up the next day when the engine case showed a problem. That follow-up was free of charge.

"Hard to find honest mechanics like him now in SG."

The crew speak Malay and English. One Yamaha Fino owner was turned away, so call ahead if you ride something uncommon.
