More detail: the full write-up
Best for the commuter or weekend rider who wants a steady, no-nonsense mechanic and works the kind of hours that rule out daytime workshops. Ah Heng is patient, explains every line of the job, and has held the same customers for the better part of a decade. Big-bike owners hunting brand specialists or anyone needing a same-morning fix should look elsewhere. For after-work servicing in the AMK belt, this is a solid one-man pick.
The lowdown. One-man motorcycle workshop tucked inside AMK AutoPoint, the bike-trade complex off Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 2A. Ah Heng (also known as Uncle Heng) runs the floor solo and only opens after dark. Hours are 6pm to 4am Monday to Friday, 8pm to 2am Saturday, closed Sunday. General servicing covers oil changes, tyres, mirrors, grips and routine diagnosis.
What riders say. Ah Heng diagnoses, explains, then quotes. The visit pattern is the same whether you came in for a flat tyre or a full service. He talks through what is happening, why, and what your options are, including bikes you might want to consider next. Customers stay loyal for years. Some riders have been coming back for close to a decade.
"Knowledgeable AND friendly AND down-to-earth."
The night-shift opening is the second draw. If you work standard office or F&B hours and cannot drop the bike off at lunchtime, Ah Heng's 6pm start is the fix. He uses good-quality oil and parts, and is upfront when something does not need replacing yet.
