More detail: the full write-up

Best as a servicing workshop for commuter scooters, Vespas and general big-bike upkeep. Especially good for riders who want a mechanic to explain the fault before charging. Used-bike buyers should pin every promise on paper: second key, freebies, settlement figures, declared faults. A cold inspection before signing and the early-settlement terms in writing are the minimum here.

The lowdown. Motorcycle shop tucked into Blk 3006 Ubi Road 1, inside Kampong Ubi Industrial Estate. Hong Nan Motor Agency sells new and used bikes and runs a service bay for routine maintenance and repairs. Open Monday to Saturday, closed Sundays. Lawrence is the long-tenured face of the shop and the person most riders deal with for both sales and servicing.

What riders say. Servicing is where the shop earns its repeat customers. Riders return year after year for general maintenance on scooters, Vespas and bigger bikes. Turnaround is fast, explanations are clear, prices don't sting. A Vespa owner had a fault diagnosed and fixed inside a couple of days with a proper walkthrough of the work. Lawrence is the named contact for GSA owners and long-term regulars.

The friction sits on the resale side. Two buyers report the same issue: a second key promised but never produced after full payment. Undisclosed faults also surfaced after the bike left the shop, including starter and engine oil sensor issues. One buyer also disputed close to $2,000 in early-settlement charges that weren't backed by a written agreement.

Bought the bike with many problems and the sales person Lawrence was not honest.

Service bay and resale desk earn different reputations. Treat them as two separate visits.
