More detail: the full write-up

A solid pick if you ride a Vespa, small commuter or Mutt and want a shop that knows your bike across years rather than visits. Less suited if you're hunting the cheapest oil change in town or want card payment and digital invoices. Settle the scope and parts list with Jeffrey verbally before he picks up the spanner, and the rest is straightforward.

The lowdown. Old-school neighbourhood motorcycle workshop on Bukit Merah Lane 2, ground floor of the HDB row. General servicing, repairs, tyres, accessory installs and basic computer diagnostics. Run by Jeffrey Tan with Ah Heng on the floor and a crew that has been here since the 1990s.

What riders say. Jeffrey is the name to ask for. He talks through options, explains issues without hard-selling, and sends you a short summary of service contents, parts used and mileage after each visit. Useful if you track maintenance intervals yourself. The daily mix is Vespas (Primavera, LX150), Mutts and small commuters in for general servicing, with several owners on their third or fourth bike at the same workshop. Ah Heng also handles bikes on the floor.

"Pay a bit more to have a piece of mind, at least I don't need to visit a second time for the same problem."

Pricing sits at the higher end of neighbourhood-shop rates. Original parts are the default, which you pay for. Labour is charged on top and has caught people off guard at payment time. Confirm every line on the quote before the spanners come out.
