More detail: the full write-up
Best for scooter riders, especially classic Vespa owners. They want a workshop that knows the bike and won't oversell. Big-bike owners get sound routine servicing here too. Not the cheapest in the neighbourhood for labour, and the work varies by mechanic. For anything bigger than basic servicing, confirm the price upfront and check who is on the spanner that day.
The lowdown. Long-running motorcycle workshop on Upper Bukit Timah Road, in the Bukit Batok stretch. Servicing and repairs for scooters and bigger bikes, with a soft spot for classic Vespa work that goes back decades. Walk-in jobs cover oil changes, tyre swaps and OBU installation. New bikes are sold here too, though servicing is the main visit. Closed Sundays.
What riders say. Vespa servicing is the long-standing draw. Regulars stick around for 10 to 30 years, mostly for routine work at fair prices. Tyre swaps, scooter servicing and OBU installations fill the daily floor. Bigger bikes pass through cleanly too. Duke 390s and CB400Xs get worked on without drama. The mechanics walk you through what they did and why, and won't push parts that don't need changing.
The friction is consistency. Different mechanics deliver different results. A $20 labour fee for an oil change is on the steeper side. A $25 inspection charge for a belt job that couldn't proceed has stung. Queue handling can feel uneven on busy mornings. Pricing is quoted verbally on the spot, not posted, so ask up front.
Good to know.Mechanics are nice. Mechanic helping my bike is an elderly uncle. He is very nice and not pushy.
