More detail: the full write-up
Best if you want competitive parts, a wide helmet wall, and a one-stop fit for tyres, top boxes and basic accessory work. Less suited if you want a tight workshop, polite counter chat, or careful work on aftermarket electrical. Treat it as a parts shop first and a workshop second. Ride in early on a weekday if fitting is involved.
The lowdown. Parts-counter-plus-workshop combo on Jln Besar in Rochor. Walk into the shop at #01-01 Coyuco Building, tell the front desk what you need, they write it on a slip, and you ride two minutes round the corner to the workshop. Cash-and-carry on one side, fitting bay on the other. Open seven days, late till 7.30pm.
What riders say. Cash-and-carry parts is the strong point. Helmets cover sizes other shops skip, including 2XL. Tyres, engine oil, top boxes, racks, brake pads, handlebar weights, main stands. The catalogue is broad and prices beat most surrounding shops. Ah Boy himself still works the floor.
The workshop is the gamble. Hand your slip to the counter, pay the $10 deposit, then ride round the corner and wait. Waits run one to two hours on a weekday, longer on Saturdays. Mechanics work through the queue but there's no clear order.
Pricing is inconsistent. Quotes shift between counter and workshop. You can get charged for fuses or extra labour you didn't expect. Staff tone runs short. Some uncles refuse aftermarket parts they don't recognise. Others install them without a fuss.
Good to know.Price is good but waiting time kills me.
