More detail: the full write-up

Best fit for BMW owners and touring riders who want careful, unhurried work and proper luggage or crash-bar fitment. Less suited to 2B commuter scooter riders looking for a quick walk-in fix. Book ahead, plan to leave the bike for a few hours, and treat the shop as a relationship rather than a one-off pit stop.

The lowdown. BMW-focused workshop and touring-accessory shop tucked into Paya Ubi Industrial Park, fifth floor of 51 Ubi Ave 1. Ah Ken (Hien) handles the spanner work, Boss Chan runs the parts and counter side. Day to day it is servicing for big bikes, oil and filter changes, rack and luggage fitment, and walk-in sales of Hepco & Becker, Wunderlich and Touratech kit.

What riders say. The core draw is Ken. He is methodical, slow on purpose, and will wait for an engine to cool before draining oil. Regulars cycle through with NC750X, R nineT and R 1250 GSA, and the BMW knowledge runs deep enough that riders call him the best in the East for the brand. Moto Guzzi rack fitments and other big-bike work also pass through Chan's bench.

Pricing sits in the fair-not-cheap band. One regular puts it neatly:

Mteknik is value for money, not economy rice.

The shop leans hard into big bikes. A 2B rider felt brushed off, and one walk-in close to 5pm was turned away when asking after Touratech and Wunderlich parts. Time your visit earlier in the day and call ahead if you are coming for specific accessories.
