More detail: the full write-up
Good fit for riders who want a one-mechanic shop where one person diagnoses, quotes and turns the spanner. Worth the Kaki Bukit detour. Strong choice for valve service on a Hayabusa or similar, fairing work after a tip-over, or a late-night tyre swap before a touring trip. Larger jobs are best dropped off earlier in the day, since evenings fill up fast.
The lowdown. Midnight-hours motorcycle workshop tucked inside Synergy@KB in Kaki Bukit, unit #01-21. Ah Wei runs the floor as solo mechanic. Day to day it is general servicing, valve clearance, fairing repairs, wiring fixes, tyre changes and full engine overhauls across scooters, middleweights and litre bikes. Walk-ins land late, after most other workshops have shut.
What riders say. The core draw is Ah Wei himself. He inspects, photographs and WhatsApps the parts that need replacing before he touches anything, then explains what is wrong and why. Pricing lands on the cheaper side for Kaki Bukit, with no charge for work he did not do. Big-bike jobs come up often: Hayabusa valve clearance, R6 cowls, FJR1300 maintenance, CB400X servicing. Scooter side covers Forza 300 and Angel tyre fits. Suspension work shows up too, including YSS fork kits and same-day rear shock replacements. Late-night opening is the practical hook for shift workers and weekend riders prepping for Malaysia or Thailand runs.
"He doesn't charge what he didn't work on."
Friction is minimal. The shop gets busy late evening, so drop-offs are smoother around opening at 11am.
