More detail: the full write-up
Best for big-bike owners who want a mechanic who diagnoses instead of guesses, and for older riders who already trust Pak Amir from way back. Suspension rebuilds and dyno tuning are the strong suits. Less ideal if you want the cheapest possible CVT or tyre job. Bring your service book, expect a fair but not bargain bill, and budget time to sit and talk through what the bike actually needs.
The lowdown. Motorcycle workshop tucked inside Tampines Industrial Park A, off Tampines Street 93. The crew handles everything from scooter servicing to big-bike diagnostics, accident repairs and dyno runs. Two names anchor the shop: Pak Amir, the veteran mechanic with decades on Singapore bikes, and Ah Tak, who runs the dyno, diagnostics and suspension side. Walk-in friendly during weekday hours.
What riders say. The long-timers come for Pak Amir. Riders who knew him from 30 years back still bring their bikes in, from a Kawasaki GTR1400 to old RD350s and XJR400s. Ah Tak handles the technical jobs: a faulty TPS on a ZX-6R diagnosed and fixed in 15 minutes, dyno prep done in another 10, suspension sag rebuilt to rider weight. Engine oil, spark plugs, battery swaps, tyre work and bigger jobs after accidents all get done here. Mechanic Malik also gets named for thorough basic servicing.
A good mechanic tests, not guess.
Pricing is the recurring friction. Expect to pay more than a neighbourhood HDB shop, and a full-servicing quote can cross $300 once checks and replacements stack up. The trade-off is work that holds. One CVT job drew a sharp complaint about competency, so if you ride a scooter and need CVT depth, ask first whether Ah Tak is on that day.
